If there were an ocean we’d be wading in the distance
There would be only water creating our resistance
A place to decompress
A vat of chlorine’s close enough I guess
If there were an ocean we’d glisten on the surface
Instead of an eruption we bubbly only briefly when there is erosion
We both regret it deeply
I arrived at the scene
You were perfectly surrounded by pylons
When the crowd separated the officer said you were already gone
Appetite minuscule
Middle of the nite
Drain the pool
The summer’s over I don’t think I could find it
I don’t know how to find it again
Don’t think that I could get behind it
I don’t think I will ever find it again
Throwback pop with gleaming synths, chiming guitars, solid melodic hooks, and a cinematic sense of scale from North Carolina's Rachel Kiel. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 22, 2020
Ten spare songs from Australian musician Ali Barter that showcase her razor-sharp lyrics, backed only by brittle guitar. Bandcamp New & Notable May 22, 2020
I think it's difficult to write songs about something other than romantic love, and still be able to communicate the intensity with which those feelings can hit a person. Some of the entries on this album are fantastic examples of this niche. dani_bloop
